The Start to Christmas Decorating...........HO! HO! HO!

Here is a start to our Christmas Decorating. WHEW! Need to do more outside, but been working inside right now. This is the small extended window above the sink in the kitchen, and a wall between the bathroom & entry into the kitchen too.

This is a wooden shelf that has some of my wooden candle sticks on each end with a basket I found hiding in a box, and some lil trees I forgot I had too. So, out came the bulbs & some of the pearls to add into this too. This is above our couch in the living room.

Here is a start to some of the flower arrangements I put together. The one with the pink vase & the white lantern is sitting on top of the stereo in the dining room. The green glass one on the floor is actually a glass candle holder I had bought from an antique store a couple of years ago. Works just as good for this too!:) This also sits in the dining room.

Here is Santa in front of the door in the dining room. He is here for Karma, and the kids as they like him. When turned on he does move/dance & sings too. Oh, yeah, they like it when we find the microphone to plug into him too. The kids love to hear themselves sing with him, and dance. Always fun watching them.

Trying to get some pics with the lights on the trees, wreaths, and doorway is hard with my flash. And, if I turn the flash off it gets kind of dark too. So, here is an attempt to show you. This lil tree is sitting on a bar stool with a cloth in front of the 1 dining room window facing the drive way & can be seen from the road.

This tree also sits on another bar stool with a cloth draping on it & shows thru the window facing the road & trees outside. These use to be in my display windows at the consignment store...good thing I hung onto them, but wish I would have kept 1 of the big trees too...oh, well.

Ok, here is an attempt of taking a pic of the lighted garland that was hung in the archway of the dining room & living room. Have to get rid of the flash to see any kind of lights.

Daylight, and showing the lighted wreath in the living room facing the back yard. Since the first pictures taken below I have already added a little bit more to this from digging thru the boxes in the basement. And of course things have moved a lil bit here, and there too. Soon I will be settled on how it all looks (LOL)

Here is when we first started decorating inside the house. The wreath when it is darker out, and faces the back yard. The house is small enough that when we have all these lights turned on it lights up nicely without any lamps, or other lights on. Actually prettier than I could picture.

The outside is still a working progress. When we moved I got rid of A LOT of the outside items we had from the other house--either donated some OR Ashley got a lot of it for her home. At the other house we could almost light up the whole street with all we did there. We had the L shaped walk porch upstairs, the L shaped porch downstairs, the front yard, and the driveway too. Every year people would always ask how we intended to decorate for that year. They would always anxiously watch, and when we did get things up you knew they were waiting for it the way they all drove by to view, and would slow down by our home. But, in reality I am the only one usually home most of the time now. Nick gone to school, work, stuff for school, and Chuck being gone with his working crew it really works out much better for me. Still miss the 'big' house some days, but not the bills it took to keep it up either, or the upkeep of the cleaning it by myself, etc. Anyway, here is a start to our decorating of Christmas. The yard I don't think will have near as much as people are use to seeing us do as I do believe I need to get more things for that. Time will tell.....we still have some of that as Thanksgiving isn't quite here yet. Weather has been good, Nick was in the mood over the weekend to bring things up from the basement...he is the one who was pushing me this time (LOL) So, enjoy, and maybe it will put all of you in the mood to get started if you haven't already. Take care everyone!!
