Hello everyone, and hope this finds ya'll doing well. Not really too much to report around here. Time of year kind of boring right now. Holiday weekend this next weekend, making a few plans for that. What are ya'll going to be doing? Whatever it is....please be safe. Bunch of crazies out there!:)
On Sat. the 21st, Chuck had gotten home, and wasn't home long when Nick called. Sounded a little bit shaken, and wanted to know if Chuck was here. Then, asked if we could come get him. My stomach dropped, and I feared it might be an accident. Well, him & the buds like to do different things on the weekends which is with paint ball guns, air soft wars, pulling little pranks, and etc. Nothing serious, and all harmless...at least they are not drinking & smoking:) Well, on Sat. the 21st the 'guys' did their paint ball guns wearing their masks, then later decided to do air soft wars. Catch, no one wore their safety glasses for this. Unfortunately, Nick was shot in the eye with a BB. We had him at ER that night in Sheldon, and then were requested we take him to Sioux Falls...Darn, Chuck just left there too...HeHe! So, we were in Sioux Falls all night due to the specialist needed for his eye there. Great people in the ER there too!:) Next morning seen the specialist, took Nick out of work for the week, and he seen the local eye doctor here 3 times. Putting drops in his eye has not been pleasurable. Fri the eye dr. put a med in that made his pupil dilate big time! He looked like he had a bug eye!
Well, he is coming along better, and rules have been set for safety glasses now with the home they all gather to do these things at:) Nick is tired of it, but we now know it shouldn't happen again either:) Below are a few pictures from a couple of days after it happened. Eye started doing much better once the BB was dropped out of the eye...now the healing. Which the eye dr. informed us could take up 2-3 months for the swelling to fully be gone.
Well hello everyone, and it's about time I stopped by here again, huh? LOL! Sorry, summer time, and just kind of letting things ride a little bit right now.
John, and his wife Rosa were in IA the end of July. They did come by for a few hours, and sat with us here to visit, and catch up a little bit too. Imagine, Patrick graduates next year! Where does all the time go, right? Was great seeing John, and Rosa again, and they looked good too.
Not really a whole lot going on around here to report about. Chuck's crew should be starting work this week in Sioux Falls. State kind of needed them to hold off a bit due to Sturgis, and all of the traffic from that:) But, tomorrow he is up bright & early driving. Thought we had a motel with a good rate for him picked out, but not sure what he is gonna do yet. Chuck is Chuck ya know:)
Kids are all being themselves. Nothing really to report with them. Karma growing, talking more, and some of the things she says...LOL! What a deal!
We have had some good storms around here. Just had some more rain tonight with some very high winds up to 70 mph. I heard something about a train going over in S. Sioux City due to the high winds we had. It came really quick, couldn't hardly see outside, and then not long after that the winds died down, could see lights on the hiway again, and clear as could be. Weird.
Not really a whole lot to report from here, but thought would check in here just in case. I know, I should be putting some pictures on here. Going thru computer, and working on cleaning things out a bit. Tomorrow everyone gone, and no one hanging over my shoulder, so hopefully I can get some things done here:)
Take care everyone, and hope all is well with you. Hope the weather has been good to everyone near & far:)
