The Start to Christmas Decorating...........HO! HO! HO!

Here is a start to our Christmas Decorating. WHEW! Need to do more outside, but been working inside right now. This is the small extended window above the sink in the kitchen, and a wall between the bathroom & entry into the kitchen too.

This is a wooden shelf that has some of my wooden candle sticks on each end with a basket I found hiding in a box, and some lil trees I forgot I had too. So, out came the bulbs & some of the pearls to add into this too. This is above our couch in the living room.

Here is a start to some of the flower arrangements I put together. The one with the pink vase & the white lantern is sitting on top of the stereo in the dining room. The green glass one on the floor is actually a glass candle holder I had bought from an antique store a couple of years ago. Works just as good for this too!:) This also sits in the dining room.

Here is Santa in front of the door in the dining room. He is here for Karma, and the kids as they like him. When turned on he does move/dance & sings too. Oh, yeah, they like it when we find the microphone to plug into him too. The kids love to hear themselves sing with him, and dance. Always fun watching them.

Trying to get some pics with the lights on the trees, wreaths, and doorway is hard with my flash. And, if I turn the flash off it gets kind of dark too. So, here is an attempt to show you. This lil tree is sitting on a bar stool with a cloth in front of the 1 dining room window facing the drive way & can be seen from the road.

This tree also sits on another bar stool with a cloth draping on it & shows thru the window facing the road & trees outside. These use to be in my display windows at the consignment store...good thing I hung onto them, but wish I would have kept 1 of the big trees too...oh, well.

Ok, here is an attempt of taking a pic of the lighted garland that was hung in the archway of the dining room & living room. Have to get rid of the flash to see any kind of lights.

Daylight, and showing the lighted wreath in the living room facing the back yard. Since the first pictures taken below I have already added a little bit more to this from digging thru the boxes in the basement. And of course things have moved a lil bit here, and there too. Soon I will be settled on how it all looks (LOL)

Here is when we first started decorating inside the house. The wreath when it is darker out, and faces the back yard. The house is small enough that when we have all these lights turned on it lights up nicely without any lamps, or other lights on. Actually prettier than I could picture.

The outside is still a working progress. When we moved I got rid of A LOT of the outside items we had from the other house--either donated some OR Ashley got a lot of it for her home. At the other house we could almost light up the whole street with all we did there. We had the L shaped walk porch upstairs, the L shaped porch downstairs, the front yard, and the driveway too. Every year people would always ask how we intended to decorate for that year. They would always anxiously watch, and when we did get things up you knew they were waiting for it the way they all drove by to view, and would slow down by our home. But, in reality I am the only one usually home most of the time now. Nick gone to school, work, stuff for school, and Chuck being gone with his working crew it really works out much better for me. Still miss the 'big' house some days, but not the bills it took to keep it up either, or the upkeep of the cleaning it by myself, etc. Anyway, here is a start to our decorating of Christmas. The yard I don't think will have near as much as people are use to seeing us do as I do believe I need to get more things for that. Time will tell.....we still have some of that as Thanksgiving isn't quite here yet. Weather has been good, Nick was in the mood over the weekend to bring things up from the basement...he is the one who was pushing me this time (LOL) So, enjoy, and maybe it will put all of you in the mood to get started if you haven't already. Take care everyone!!

Happy Weekend to All....Enjoy It......

Hopefully by now everyone has gotten the email about this blogspot that has been started for the Lambirth Family. I know there are some I have missed, and I apologize, but I do not have your emails to send you notice. Hopefully someone else did so, or send me the emails so that I can let those know that have been overlooked. Again, thank you to those who helped with some of the emails I did ask for that I had wrong, and for adding to my list of what I do not have too. It is Friday, and hope ya'll have a great weekend! Doug, hope you have a safe trip & enjoy your time with the kids too....we will talk money later:) LOL...Take care everyone, and enjoy. Later.....

Hello to everyone again:-)

Been digging thru some of the pics that are still on the camera card, or in the computer, and trying to share a lil bit of this past year. Nick is working at Fareway in Sheldon, and graduates in May. Ashley did get married end of March, and her husband's name is Nate. The new last name for her now is Silberstein...much more of a tongue twister than the Lambirth name. Chuck has gotten out of the truck again. After trial & error, he decided to go back with the construction company he use to work with a couple of years ago. He has, or seems to be enjoying it again. Believe it, or not they have been still working over in O'Neil, NE. I do believe this weekend they will be shutting down, and coming on home. He has been gone for a while, will be nice to have him home for a while, and then HELP!:-) Not use to him being here all the time, but has his eyes on some places to get thru the winter till the crew starts back up again. Day by day....such as life. Me? Oh, well, I just sit around the house, pay the bills, run the errands, still chasing after kids, babysit sometimes, visit my Dad who was put into a home after his stroke, and etc. Never a dull moment for me around here...imagine that!

Hope this finds everyone doing ok. Everyone ready for Christmas? Heck No! I know I am not ready yet.

By the way, before I forget again, Diane & I have been working together on combining the graduations this year for Samantha & Nick. Want to make it easier for everyone to do things in 1 place & at 1 time too. So, a place has been chosen in Storm Lake. The big day will be on Sunday, May 30th...from 2-4 Diane thought was the time we were marked for--coming a lil earlier would be no problem either--we'll be there getting a head start ourselves:-). All alcoholic beverages that are wanted will be served there, and have to be purchased by you individually. I will get back to everyone with more details as I will be in charge of the invitations, and getting them all out to you. I don't remember the name of it, but some Bar/Catering place in Storm Lake. We have the banquet room reserved for that day. This is just giving everyone an informal notice of things to come right now. Will keep you posted.

Enjoy what I am able to share now, and check back periodically as I will do my best to keep this updated for all to see, read, enjoy, laugh, and so on. Take care everyone!!

More Pictures of The Lambirth Clan

Here is Karma & Papa cooking breakfast in the kitchen. Karma loves to help there whether she is with someone in there OR she does try to do it herself too. Actually, in this pic Chuck is cooking & talking with her, while she is trying to do dishes.....the things they get into :-)

Ashley's husband Nate & Karma. Been a long day for them, so Ashley drives while they both sleep.

This does not happen often...brother & sisterly love (LOL) Here is Nick & Ashley giving a big hug outside the courtroom. The day Ashley & Nate got married by the justice. I was thinking a wedding, but that is how these 2 wanted to get married. Nick loves her for being out of school for the day I think:)

I just had to show proof of how Nick does do some work around here once in a while. Here he is fighting with mowing the ditches at our place. Frustrating job, it's a fight usually, but looks very nice when it is done.

Karma sitting with Papa in 1 of the trucks he use to drive. She liked getting in them, goofing around in the cab, pulling the horn, but to stand by the truck when it was running/idling....the sound scared her. This had been taken outside our home in Ashton in the big old driveway we had. Was nice till have till winter & clearing it all out, and we were always in the way of the blowing snow, drifts, and how it blew in.

My First Entry to the Lambirth Family Blog

Karma being the lil Miss Hollywood that she likes to be sometimes. Here she is just lounging outside, and had to have her sunglasses on....Must have been bright:)

Here is Karma with PaPa of course at the Labor Day Parade. She was scared going after the candy at first when the parade started. But, once she figured it out, and realized it was for her, she got right in there with the other kids, and went for it!

Oh YES, Karma again:-) I was moving some things around, rearranging, taking some pictures, and she put on her coat, and said ok to me. Take one of me....She is really starting to like the camera the more I bring it out. Hmm....
