MERRY CHRISTMAS FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND TO OUR TROOPS!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!.....SPECIAL MERRY CHRISTMAS TO OUR TROOPS! I came across a forum at a marketplace that is doing something very special today...all day long. Everyone stopping in and wishing a Merry Christmas to the troops, telling them thank you, and wishing them well. Sharing thoughts & feelings....and at the end of the day OR in the morning a copy of everything said & done on the forum is being sent to a troop member who will then share it with other members too. Also, during the day emails were being sent sharing a lil bit of what was there as the day goes along. WOW! This is really neat & special, don't ya think? I think it is great doing this for our troops as they are sacrificing their time, and their families for us to have our freedoms that we so enjoy celebrating, sharing with our family, and sharing with our friends. So...when ya'll get a chance today, say a lil prayer for our troops thanking them for what they are doing, and Wishing them a MERRY CHRISTMAS too! I hope everyone is having a great day & enjoying your Christmas! We are snowed in, and enjoying the time while we can...then someone will have to be kicked out the door...HAHA! Joking, ok? Take care everyone......MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

A Lil Christmas Humor......

I have been messing around on computer, checking different places I am associated with, and someone was showing this pic. Sorry, I couldn't pass it, and wanted to pass along a lil humor for ya'll to share. Poor Santa, huh? Ok, gotta go finish wrapping a couple of gifts! Have a good one!!

Christmas Eve...Cookies and Milk...Santa Claus...

Hello Everyone! Here it is Christmas Eve. Boy, is it snowing & blowing out there too! Yeah, I would say we are snowed in for the night, and possibly tomorrow too. Sounds like some high winds for tomorrow. That's ok...we have food here, it is warm in here, and everyone is home safe. What might not happen tomorrow can always happen the next day too. Either way they will like the gifts, right? Don't forget to put the milk & cookies out for Santa.....aw come on...it will be fun! :) Have a Safe Holiday everyone for those who will be traveling! Take care...Merry Christmas to All!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!

Well, tomorrow night is Christmas Eve...started to slow down getting there, but yet went fast too. Yesterday I was waiting on a delivery so Chuck took off to finish on presents for Karma...scarey him by himself. But, have to admit he did not do too bad. Was really hoping to go to Sioux City on Friday and see some of the movies they are showing for
Christmas day, but not sure what the weather is gonna allow us to do yet. This year is really different. Very long story....maybe someday will tell it. But, we are gonna make Christmas day simple this year, and maybe do things a lil bit different. Will let ya know how it went...thanks to the weather. Nick went to work tonight, and hope he can make it home ok. Otherwise, he will have to stay in town at his aunt's place, or maybe a friend's place too. Friday night was doing dishes, and the dryer started to sound like a jet taking off. Guess it got to smoking a lil bit in here too. Chuck & Nick ran to the dryer, got it shut down, and right now it looks like maybe it is done for. Oh well...one way of getting a new dryer, right? I have been wanting a new set...maybe I can get it now? LOL! Hope all of you are able to spend time with your family & friends on Christmas. Hope ya'll got your cards I sent out okay too. I had other thoughts of what I wanted to do, but this next year will do what I want, and not rely on others, or wait for them. Well, got a lot more catching up to do since been off of here for a bit with my sinuses, and all. Hope this finds everyone doing well, and wishing ya'll the best for a New Year too! Merry Christmas Everyone! Hope you are able to enjoy the day! Take care till the next time.....The Lambirth Family

Pictures of Karma again.....

Sorry, since last Thursday haven't felt really well. Stuffy nose, a lot of sneezing, and now a lil cough. Hopefully it is going away now. So, haven't felt like doin a whole lot lately...except sleep. Had Karma a couple of times last weekend, and they stopped during the week to visit too. She is really liking to pose for some of the pics now. Her and Papa have this thing about taking a nap together...but it works, so let them do it, right? Hope this finds everyone doing well, and getting thru the weather we are having right now. Nick went into work tonight, not sure if he will be able to come home yet, and wake up tomorrow with another day & see what it brings for us, right?

Christmas is getting closer.....

Here we are getting closer to Christmas. Is everyone ready? I'm not. Mood has been a lil different this year. I even told Chuck I was thinking of the family just going to the movies that day too. Make a day of it not being home, but doing something else this year. We'll see when the day is here. As of today cards have been put into the mail with a letter I typed up for ya'll--if I missed anyone, sorry. Was not intended, but might not have your address either. Yes, everyone is getting the same one. It was easier to do it that way, and catch everyone up on what lil bit there is to know around here. Info about the graduation that is being combined for Nick & Samantha too. Got card from Aunt Ruth & was told that Eric will graduate in May...no date given yet. Hope it all works out as all of these things always seem to come around the same time every year. Nick graduates on the 23rd of May in Sheldon...that date was pushed back a lil bit from last year already. We did get some snow here, had some school cancelations last week, and some wind with it all. Now, it has just been cold...UGH! How has it been for everyone else? Well, I wanted to do this real quick. Trying to finish up a late supper here since it is just Chuck & I tonight...Nick at work. Hope everyone is doing well, and that ya'll are ready for the big holiday! Take care, and catch up to ya'll later....

Thanksgiving 2009 ...... A few things of Nick

Ashley and her family Thanksgiving nite...

Karma says the flicker candle is hot, and is trying to blow it out:) And....she is eating again!

Karma helps Papa make some mashed potatoes....suprisingly it was only a lil mess she made on the floor:)

Karma likes to dance, and dancing on Papa is even more fun. Then...they finally sleep...caught them, and it was for a lil bit anyway:)

Karma loves Santa as her dancing partner. She figured out the button to turn him on, he sings, he dances, and now we hear it all the time she is over here:)

A piece of Nick's artwork he has done for himself. This last drawing has brought him some 'sales' He is getting requests from a few to do different drawings for them, and they have offered to pay him a lil cash for it too. Not a bad side job to have, huh?

You have to know Nick & his friends. They are all quite the lil dare devils, and some of the stories I could tell you....well...let's say it is all in fun, and has been quite entertaining amongst some of us. Never know what they will do next. At this particular time 1 of the guys decided to wax spots on his tummy/chest area. Well...the home that they were at on this particular day, the mother said that all the other guys would have to do it too. This is the spot on Nick's leg that got done. Yeah, it stung for a while, had some red spots for a bit, and I am not so sure that this will be done again:) Now....they got to feel what women go thru:-)

Puter broke down week of Thanksgiving, and got another one at house right now, and up and running again. Gosh! I think I was starting to get withdrawals from the computer being down. The phone just can't do all of it for me, and that is too small to deal with too LOL! Well, here it is December, and Christmas will soon be here. Sorry, but it just doesn't feel like Christmas this year. Maybe it is just the mood, and that my family is being disfunctional at this time?:-)

Well, on Tuesday the 8th Karma will be 4 yrs old. WOW! That time has really gone by too! Hmm...Christmas will be fun with her, everyone else is getting older that it usually is pretty much food, desert, eat, lay around, etc. Not unless we want to do some kind of prank gifts, or something like we have done before. Then...it adds a lil to the day for the adults/older ones. I think I have this computer figured out with downloading pics, and so on. So, will have to get a few more done to show to all.

By the way, Nick got to find out what waxing feels like, and what some women really go thru. A friend of theirs decided to wax his tummy/chest area--they are quite the pranksters, are dare devils too! Well, the house they were all at the mother there told them if he did that, then ALL of the others had to find a place on their bodies to do it too. Nick tried to get a area on his leg that was not so hairy. But...didn't work. So, as of right now he has a nice long rectangular bare spot on his back/side calf area. Yes, I do believe there was a lil screaming with it, and of course he is still complaining a lil about it hurting. BOYS! will be boys...I know:-) Better they do dumb things like that then out drinking, and stuff I guess. Hmm...some of the stories I could tell on him....I'll be nice:-) Anyway, hope everyone is doing well, and the weather is good for you. Take care till the next time everyone!!

The Start to Christmas Decorating...........HO! HO! HO!

Here is a start to our Christmas Decorating. WHEW! Need to do more outside, but been working inside right now. This is the small extended window above the sink in the kitchen, and a wall between the bathroom & entry into the kitchen too.

This is a wooden shelf that has some of my wooden candle sticks on each end with a basket I found hiding in a box, and some lil trees I forgot I had too. So, out came the bulbs & some of the pearls to add into this too. This is above our couch in the living room.

Here is a start to some of the flower arrangements I put together. The one with the pink vase & the white lantern is sitting on top of the stereo in the dining room. The green glass one on the floor is actually a glass candle holder I had bought from an antique store a couple of years ago. Works just as good for this too!:) This also sits in the dining room.

Here is Santa in front of the door in the dining room. He is here for Karma, and the kids as they like him. When turned on he does move/dance & sings too. Oh, yeah, they like it when we find the microphone to plug into him too. The kids love to hear themselves sing with him, and dance. Always fun watching them.

Trying to get some pics with the lights on the trees, wreaths, and doorway is hard with my flash. And, if I turn the flash off it gets kind of dark too. So, here is an attempt to show you. This lil tree is sitting on a bar stool with a cloth in front of the 1 dining room window facing the drive way & can be seen from the road.

This tree also sits on another bar stool with a cloth draping on it & shows thru the window facing the road & trees outside. These use to be in my display windows at the consignment store...good thing I hung onto them, but wish I would have kept 1 of the big trees too...oh, well.

Ok, here is an attempt of taking a pic of the lighted garland that was hung in the archway of the dining room & living room. Have to get rid of the flash to see any kind of lights.

Daylight, and showing the lighted wreath in the living room facing the back yard. Since the first pictures taken below I have already added a little bit more to this from digging thru the boxes in the basement. And of course things have moved a lil bit here, and there too. Soon I will be settled on how it all looks (LOL)

Here is when we first started decorating inside the house. The wreath when it is darker out, and faces the back yard. The house is small enough that when we have all these lights turned on it lights up nicely without any lamps, or other lights on. Actually prettier than I could picture.

The outside is still a working progress. When we moved I got rid of A LOT of the outside items we had from the other house--either donated some OR Ashley got a lot of it for her home. At the other house we could almost light up the whole street with all we did there. We had the L shaped walk porch upstairs, the L shaped porch downstairs, the front yard, and the driveway too. Every year people would always ask how we intended to decorate for that year. They would always anxiously watch, and when we did get things up you knew they were waiting for it the way they all drove by to view, and would slow down by our home. But, in reality I am the only one usually home most of the time now. Nick gone to school, work, stuff for school, and Chuck being gone with his working crew it really works out much better for me. Still miss the 'big' house some days, but not the bills it took to keep it up either, or the upkeep of the cleaning it by myself, etc. Anyway, here is a start to our decorating of Christmas. The yard I don't think will have near as much as people are use to seeing us do as I do believe I need to get more things for that. Time will tell.....we still have some of that as Thanksgiving isn't quite here yet. Weather has been good, Nick was in the mood over the weekend to bring things up from the basement...he is the one who was pushing me this time (LOL) So, enjoy, and maybe it will put all of you in the mood to get started if you haven't already. Take care everyone!!

Happy Weekend to All....Enjoy It......

Hopefully by now everyone has gotten the email about this blogspot that has been started for the Lambirth Family. I know there are some I have missed, and I apologize, but I do not have your emails to send you notice. Hopefully someone else did so, or send me the emails so that I can let those know that have been overlooked. Again, thank you to those who helped with some of the emails I did ask for that I had wrong, and for adding to my list of what I do not have too. It is Friday, and hope ya'll have a great weekend! Doug, hope you have a safe trip & enjoy your time with the kids too....we will talk money later:) LOL...Take care everyone, and enjoy. Later.....

Hello to everyone again:-)

Been digging thru some of the pics that are still on the camera card, or in the computer, and trying to share a lil bit of this past year. Nick is working at Fareway in Sheldon, and graduates in May. Ashley did get married end of March, and her husband's name is Nate. The new last name for her now is Silberstein...much more of a tongue twister than the Lambirth name. Chuck has gotten out of the truck again. After trial & error, he decided to go back with the construction company he use to work with a couple of years ago. He has, or seems to be enjoying it again. Believe it, or not they have been still working over in O'Neil, NE. I do believe this weekend they will be shutting down, and coming on home. He has been gone for a while, will be nice to have him home for a while, and then HELP!:-) Not use to him being here all the time, but has his eyes on some places to get thru the winter till the crew starts back up again. Day by day....such as life. Me? Oh, well, I just sit around the house, pay the bills, run the errands, still chasing after kids, babysit sometimes, visit my Dad who was put into a home after his stroke, and etc. Never a dull moment for me around here...imagine that!

Hope this finds everyone doing ok. Everyone ready for Christmas? Heck No! I know I am not ready yet.

By the way, before I forget again, Diane & I have been working together on combining the graduations this year for Samantha & Nick. Want to make it easier for everyone to do things in 1 place & at 1 time too. So, a place has been chosen in Storm Lake. The big day will be on Sunday, May 30th...from 2-4 Diane thought was the time we were marked for--coming a lil earlier would be no problem either--we'll be there getting a head start ourselves:-). All alcoholic beverages that are wanted will be served there, and have to be purchased by you individually. I will get back to everyone with more details as I will be in charge of the invitations, and getting them all out to you. I don't remember the name of it, but some Bar/Catering place in Storm Lake. We have the banquet room reserved for that day. This is just giving everyone an informal notice of things to come right now. Will keep you posted.

Enjoy what I am able to share now, and check back periodically as I will do my best to keep this updated for all to see, read, enjoy, laugh, and so on. Take care everyone!!

More Pictures of The Lambirth Clan

Here is Karma & Papa cooking breakfast in the kitchen. Karma loves to help there whether she is with someone in there OR she does try to do it herself too. Actually, in this pic Chuck is cooking & talking with her, while she is trying to do dishes.....the things they get into :-)

Ashley's husband Nate & Karma. Been a long day for them, so Ashley drives while they both sleep.

This does not happen often...brother & sisterly love (LOL) Here is Nick & Ashley giving a big hug outside the courtroom. The day Ashley & Nate got married by the justice. I was thinking a wedding, but that is how these 2 wanted to get married. Nick loves her for being out of school for the day I think:)

I just had to show proof of how Nick does do some work around here once in a while. Here he is fighting with mowing the ditches at our place. Frustrating job, it's a fight usually, but looks very nice when it is done.

Karma sitting with Papa in 1 of the trucks he use to drive. She liked getting in them, goofing around in the cab, pulling the horn, but to stand by the truck when it was running/idling....the sound scared her. This had been taken outside our home in Ashton in the big old driveway we had. Was nice till have till winter & clearing it all out, and we were always in the way of the blowing snow, drifts, and how it blew in.
